Saved on your device
Your Daily, archive, Unlimited, themed and friend-challenge runs are saved separately in this browser. Local storage also keeps guesses, unlocked audio length, filters, preferences, recent track IDs, daily completion records, and up to 100 completed results. New results include the song reference, genre, year, recognition length and score for each round to build your Music DNA. Older results without these details retain their totals. Clearing this site’s browser data removes the saved information. Export backup saves completed results, daily completion records and preferences to a JSON file on your device. Import backup reads that file locally after your confirmation; it merges results and applies preferences without replacing unfinished games. Files are never uploaded.
Music and hosting
The application requests official short song previews from Deezer and Apple Music through a Cloudflare Worker. Album covers are loaded directly from the relevant music service after a song is revealed. Those services receive the network information needed to deliver the content, such as an IP address. Preview audio is streamed without being persisted by the application. Up to two tracks may be prepared in browser memory. Save data disables this automatic preparation.
Cloudflare may process request metadata and operational logs for hosting and troubleshooting. The application does not intentionally log your guesses or personal statistics.
Anonymous experience measurements
We record game views, starts, audio attempts, audio readiness and failures, first-play waiting time, completions, replacements, and successful shares through our own Worker endpoint. Events contain the mode, an anonymous identifier for that run, a random identifier for the current page view, and timing where relevant. The page-view identifier is not retained across page loads. They do not contain song IDs, answers, search text, scores, names, email addresses, or a cross-site tracking identifier. We use these events to understand loading and completion trends.
Daily, archive and friend challenges each get a random measurement ID for your browser, with at most seven retained per mode so reloading does not count the same run twice. These IDs are separate for each challenge and do not identify you across games. Events are kept in Cloudflare's operational logs according to the hosting account's configured retention, and in our D1 database for private operational reports. The weekly report task deletes event rows older than 28 days; under the regular weekly schedule, rows remain for up to 35 days. If a scheduled cleanup fails, deletion resumes on its next successful run. Aggregated weekly reports are kept for up to one year. These reports do not include run or page-view identifiers. You can disable “Share anonymous usage” in Your statistics. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control also disable these measurements. No analytics cookies are used.
Track reports
Only when you choose Send report, the track reference and selected problem category are sent to our Worker and recorded in operational logs for review. Reports do not include your guesses, name, email or free-form text. Up to 100 report references are saved locally to prevent duplicate reports from this browser. Reporting is separate from optional usage measurements.
Sharing
When you choose “Share result,” the application copies your score and spoiler-free results to your clipboard. You decide where to paste and send them. The application does not post on your behalf.
Share image draws a spoiler-free result card in your browser, including your locally calculated music profile. You can download it or choose a destination in your device’s share sheet. Image generation does not upload the card to our server.
Creating a friend challenge sends the five selected track references, round scores, recognition lengths and mistake counts to our Worker. It creates an encrypted link valid for 90 days; the link carries the challenge data, so no challenge database or account is required. Anyone you give the link to can play those songs and compare with your scores. Actual wrong guesses are not included. The application does not log challenge contents or tokens. Your friend’s attempts stay in their browser and are not sent back to you automatically.
